Variaciones inter e intraindividuales en atención ejecutiva y memoria de trabajo, estado afectivo y cronotipo.

Tema: El Proyecto se propone como objetivo general estudiar variaciones inter e intraindividuales de la atención ejecutiva y la capacidad de memoria de trabajo, asociadas al estado afectivo y al cronotipo, en estudiantes universitarios. Los objetivos específicos son 1) examinar la relación entre estado afectivo, y atención ejecutiva y memoria de trabajo en muestras de adultos jóvenes (no clínicas) en nuestro medio, entre sujetos 2) examinar la relación entre estado afectivo, y atención ejecutiva y memoria de trabajo en muestras de adultos jóvenes (no clínicas) en nuestro medio, intrasujeto 3) Estudiar la relación entre la coincidencia / no coincidencia entre la hora de testeo y cronotipo, y capacidad de atención y memoria de trabajo. Para ello se planean dos estudios. En el Estudio 1, de carácter correlacional, se evaluará a una muestra grande de estudiantes universitarios en distintos días (4 medidas a lo largo de dos meses) en una medida de estado afectivo y tareas de atención ejecutiva y memoria de trabajo; adicionalmente en la primera toma se administrará un cuestionario de cronotipo. En el segundo estudio, de carácter cuasi-experimental, en otra muestra de estudiantes universitarios, se administrará un cuestionario de cronotipo y se asignaran a realizar tareas de estado afectivo, atención ejecutiva y memoria de trabajo siguiendo una asignación experimental a realizar las tareas en un momento del día consistente o no (coincide o no) con su cronotipo. El proyecto tiene potencial relevancia para comprender el mecanismo subyacente a los efectos y relaciones entre el estado de ánimo y las funciones ejecutivas en ámbitos educacionales y clínicos, y en ámbitos educacionales, para tener en cuenta las relaciones entre estado afectivo, cronotipo, y funciones ejecutivas.

Resumen del tema en inglés: The objective of this project is to study inter- and intraindividual variations in executive attention and working memory capacity, associated with affective state and chronotype, in university students. The specific objectives are:1) to examine the relationship between affective state, executive attention, and working memory in non-clinical samples of young adults, between-subjects;2) to examine the relationship between affective state, executive attention, and working memory in non-clinical samples of young adults, within-subjects; 3) To study the relationship between the match/mismatch between testing time and chronotype, and attention and working memory capacity. In Study 1, a large sample of university students will be assessed on different days (four measurements over two months) in affective state, executive attention and working memory tests; additionally, a chronotype questionnaire will be administered during the first test. In the second study, another sample of university students will be administered a chronotype questionnaire and assigned to perform affective state, executive attention, and working memory tests, following an experimental assignment to perform the tasks at a time of day that is either consistent or inconsistent with their chronotype. The project has potential relevance for understanding the mechanisms underlying the effects and relationships between mood and executive functions in educational and clinical settings, and in educational settings, for considering the relationships between affective state, chronotype, and executive functions.
